My piece was in response to the red and black charcoal drawing created by Lillian Schaffer. I wanted to contrast the inner challenges and conflict represented by her red cluster of lines with the interaction between other people. Lillian’s piece is a relationship to dealing with the internal struggles of cancer. The red wires in my piece interconnect the different people and demonstrate the importance of relationships in dealing with internal problems.

This is Miki Climer’s response to my Composition: Shaka. She incorporated the themes of the hand in her piece and reincorporated it with her own style.
