Piet Mondrian was an artist whose work continually became more abstract the older he got. My imitation was of his later work when all of his work solely involved simple shapes and colors. The two works mine most exemplify are Composition No. II and Composition London. In both of these pieces, Mondrian avoids any references to the real world and uses only primary colors and values. These were interesting pieces to incorporate a bear into since he attempted to avoid things such as bears in his paintings. I tried to copy the horizontal and vertical lines as in his paintings and only include primary colors. My only difference was the multiple blue values to create depth in a very abstract bear.
